Las Vegas Area REO Inventory has RISEN since last report (+235 units), Under Contracts have RISEN by (+80) units  Closing data has RISEN by (+416) units.  Low interest rates have spurred a flurry of buyer interest & activity  and it continues.  

REO sales accounted for 51% of all Las Vegas Area Valley resale closings in March 2011.  REO listings account for only 20% of total resale listings.

  • Listings (4/15/2011):  2822
  • Under Contract (4/15/2011): 3163
  • Sold March 2011:  2099

Impressive report Renee, and  I'm encouraged to see that Las Vegas closed sales are on the rise. Foreclosures are clearly still a big part of the picture there. What is happening with your prices?

Renee,

REO absorption rates are low indeed and yet the REO inventory has gone up a notch. Banks seem to have plenty left to unload.
